Go Cycle: Kingston High Street

Consultation has concluded

Go Cycle is helping change the way people travel around Kingston.

In 2014, Kingston was one of just three local authorities that secured funding from the Mayor of London as part of the Transport for London Mini-Holland programme.

With our allocation of £30 million we have developed the Go Cycle programme. Our schemes are aimed at relieving the pressure of a growing population on the borough's transport network by providing new facilities for cycling and walking, while improving road safety and public spaces.

Go Cycle also underpins the Mayor's Healthy Streets initiative, aimed at shifting Londoners towards healthier lifestyles and active travel choices.

Our first development at Portsmouth Road was officially opened in April 2017 and other schemes in the town centre and Surbiton area are under construction.

We are now ready to consult on our plans for Kingston High Street, to create a two-way cycle lane that connects Portsmouth Road directly to the town centre.

We want your feedback to help shape the final plans.

The consultation closes: Monday, July 17, 2017
